World Cup – South Korea

At last minute notice I got invited to the IWWF World Cup in ChunCheon, South Korea. It was a part of the World Leisure Games that host the closest level of pro competition to the Olympics. Every sport I could think of was there form rock climbing and sport fishing to billiards and even break-dancing.

When we got there for practice and the first round of riding the water was so flat. We got blessed with the best riding conditions all weekend. I rode really well, made semi-finals and got 8th overall in the event.

We got some time to go into town and check out the culture. There are shops and Korean BBQ restaurants everywhere. The people are friendly and the food is really unusual. They even eat cockroaches.
